Caveats: please read
- Canny’s prices were taken from canny.io/pricing on October 19, 2026, including the price points behind its tracked-user slider. They can change at any time; Canny’s own pricing page is the final word.
- Prices are in US dollars and exclude any sales tax or VAT, for both Canny and UserNote.
- A tracked user is anyone who has given feedback: posted, voted or commented, including feedback added by an admin on their behalf or captured by Canny’s Autopilot AI. Canny’s pricing page doesn’t say whether the count ever resets, so check with Canny if that matters to you.
- If you go over your tier and haven’t set a spend limit, Canny upgrades you to the next tier automatically and charges a prorated amount. With a spend limit, Canny stops tracking feedback from new users once you reach it instead.
- Above 5,000 tracked users Canny’s Business plan applies, which has custom pricing, so this calculator can’t show a figure. Canny also offers custom limits for high-volume consumer products and discounts for qualifying non-profits.
- Canny’s plans include features UserNote doesn’t have, such as integrations with Jira, Linear and CRMs, AI feedback capture, comments and SSO (Business). Compare features, not only prices.
- UserNote Pro is $19 a month, billed monthly. The free Hobby plan has one board and up to 50 ideas at a time, with unlimited voters; voters are never counted or charged for.

How Canny pricing works
Canny has three plans. Free covers 25 tracked users. Pro starts at $79 a month billed yearly ($99 billed monthly) for up to 100 tracked users, and the price steps up as more people give feedback, to $1,079 a month billed yearly at 5,000. Business, above that, is priced by Canny’s sales team.
A tracked user is anyone who posts, votes or comments. Canny suggests that for a B2B SaaS product, typically 1–5% of total users become tracked users, depending on how actively you collect feedback.
The model suits teams that want feedback from a known, limited set of customers. It can be harder to justify when you want as many users as possible to vote, because every new voter can move you toward the next tier.
Keeping Canny costs down
- Pay yearly: the yearly prices are up to about 20% lower than monthly.
- Set a monthly spend limit, so a busy month can’t move you up a tier without warning.
- Start on the free plan; Canny says many teams use it for months before upgrading.
- Ask about the non-profit discount if it applies to you.
A flat-price alternative
UserNote is a simpler feedback board and public roadmap with one flat price: $19 a month for unlimited boards, ideas and voters, or free for one board. Voters don’t need an account, and nobody is counted or charged for.
It does less than Canny, on purpose. If you need Jira or CRM integrations, AI feedback capture or SSO, Canny is the better fit.
