Add a feedback board to Circle

Let your community suggest and vote on events, topics and improvements. Add a Feedback button with a code snippet, or link to your board from a space or the sidebar.

Before you start

Sign up free at getusernote.com, create a board, and copy your board ID from the board’s Install tab (it starts with ws_). Replace ws_YOUR_BOARD_ID in the snippets below with it.

Add a Feedback button

  • In your Circle community, go to Settings → Code snippets.
  • Paste this into the code snippet field for the page head (it takes HTML, such as a script tag) and save:
<script src="https://getusernote.com/widget.js" data-workspace="ws_YOUR_BOARD_ID" defer></script>

Code snippets depend on your Circle plan; if you don’t see the setting, use a link instead (below). Snippets apply to the web version of your community, not Circle’s mobile apps.

No code at all: link to your hosted board

Every board has its own public page. Add a “Feedback” or “Roadmap” link to your sidebar links or a pinned post pointing at it; it works on any plan, with nothing to install.

Next steps

  • Settings → Allowed websites: add your domain so nobody can embed your board elsewhere.
  • Settings → Accent color: match the button to your brand.
  • Turn on Require approval if you want to check ideas before they appear.
